Kahuna is designed as a compact yet comfortably padded seating solution that more than just functions, but also offers a relaxing atmosphere and quality of stay, focussed particularly on a healing environment in healthcare spaces. Kahuna is therefore not only attractive and comfortable, but also highly functional, space-efficient and flexible.

Anything is possible in terms of arrangement, such as on the wall, e.g. in waiting areas, lounges and corridors, long aisles …but also freely in the room, for example in double rows. This flexibility ensures sustainable usability both at the beginning of planning and in the event of unforeseeable changes in the future. The modules can be flexibly and endlessly combined as single-seating-modules or as modules of two or three. Individual seat divisions ensure defined areas for those sitting, but also allow proximity to family or friends. The smaller the module, the easier and therefore more economical it is to replace and repair in the future.

The cover materials are robust, produced in an environmentally friendly manner, are completely vegan and therefore animal-friendly, also meet the high hygiene standards in hospitals and are hard-wearing.

To ensure that things don’t become dangerous, compliance with the highest fire protection test standard for upholstery composites in Germany and the EU, EN 1021, DIN 66084 P-a, ensures a high level of safety and thus increases flexibility in use. If necessary, Kahuna can be fixed to the floor using screwed connections. Preventive fire protection is becoming increasingly important and needs reliable security for the future. This means that hospital operators and those responsible for technology can literally sit back and relax.

This also applies to the appearance, because in terms of design, Kahuna can be completely simple in a very reduced design or even can develop creative power through the combination of the backrests, cover materials and colors right down to the detail of an accentuating seam, which allows design freedom that cannot be more project-related and individual. Kahuna thus offers a platform to get the best out of it. The basis is the consistently clear and pleasant design language, which integrates effortlessly and easily into any setting.
